Caregiver Support & Resources, LLC. has assisted individuals who are aging and/or disabled and their Care Partner Teams for nearly 30 years. Maureen Rulison initially worked for the State determining Medicaid eligibility. That lead to starting her own Medicaid Planning business. That business has evolved over the years to work in partnership with Attorneys and other professionals which also includes planning and applying for VA Aid & Attendance benefits and Life Care Planning. Most recently, when Maureen became a Care Partner for her husband Brian. who is living with Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia, she saw the need for Advocacy. She has established herself as a Patient Advocate, specializing in working with Persons Living With Dementia.
Those advocacy services include:
• Assistance with decision making on treatments and quality living.
• Preparation for & attendance at appointments.
• Finding resources and/or making connections with other professionals.
• Care Partner Support.
• End Of Life planning and advanced directives.
• Financial options (Medicaid Planning & Asset Protection)
• Community resources.
She and Brian LeBlanc are the co-founders of We Are Dementia Strong (can found on Facebook), which is a platform about sharing information regarding living well with a dementia related illness from the perspective of the Person Living with Dementia and a Care Partner.
