Clearwater Legacy was born from one man’s journey through adversity, compassion, and a desire to give back.
After a successful career in Information Technology sales and project management—including work on the Nielsen Media move from Dunedin to Oldsmar—Will Allison dedicated himself to caring for his parents through their final days. He was later diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. After an incredible journey, Will overcame the disease and celebrated five years cancer-free.
That experience changed his perspective and inspired him to leave his IT career behind and devote his time to helping others, just as others had helped him.
Working closely with organizations such as Hospice and St. Vincent de Paul, Will saw that even the best charities sometimes have limitations on what they can provide. Clearwater Legacy was created to bridge those gaps—connecting donated items and resources for people who need them most.
Today, Clearwater Legacy works with individuals, families, estate sales, assisted living communities, charities, and others to find practical ways to help. Donors can choose a reasonable service charge when Clearwater Legacy assists with an item, while the donated item ultimately reaches someone in need for free or at a deeply discounted price.
At its heart, Clearwater Legacy is about turning generosity into opportunity and finding a way to help when traditional resources fall short.
