The Police and Kids Foundation, Inc is a non-profit 501(C)3 charity that was established in 2011 with the goal of supporting law enforcement agencies and children across the State of Florida. Every day our communities are confronted with situations where children need help. These children may be hungry, need clothing or are victims of crime. Many times, during these types of situations a quick response may go a long way in assuring that the immediate needs of the child are met. Unfortunately, some of the traditional processes in place to handle these situations can take hours, days or may not be available at all due to budgetary restraints or lack of resources.
The Police and Kids Foundation supports our children in many different ways. Sometimes by way of direct financial support to the families. Other times it may be supporting other non-profits or municipalities who are working to achieve the same goals of supporting children and their families. The Police and Kids Foundation may provide funding assistance that may include but is not limited to food, household and school supplies, clothing, replacement of lost, stolen or damaged property, and temporary housing assistance. The ultimate goal is to stabilize the family quickly with as little trauma to the children as necessary. To this end, the Police and Kids Foundation, may use funds to support other organizations that support our mission and goals.
The Police and Kids Foundation, Inc is also blessed to oversees the State of Florida “Fallen Law Enforcement Officer” specialty plate. As part of this oversight, the funds raised from the sale of our specialty plate can be used to directly support the families of fallen first responders in the State of Florida who have lost their lives in the line of duty. These funds may also be used to support law enforcement agencies requesting financial assistance for equipment or training cost through a grant application.
To reach our goals, we need your assistance. We work in your communities every day and realize just how difficult things are for everyone. This understanding is what helped create the Police and Kids Foundation in the first place. If you are able to provide financial help in any way, we would greatly appreciate your support. All donations are tax deductible and receipts are available upon request. All contributions are used at the sole discretion of the Police and Kids Foundation, Inc.
