Veterans Funeral Care was founded in 2001 as the first themed funeral home in the U.S. We are family-owned, serving both veterans and non veterans.
Our staff is trained in the approach of Disney customer service and you will experience a little of that “Disney Magic” when you find us going beyond your expectation.
- We have a Military Museum in our funeral home.
- We offer affordable cremation and burial pricing that is 1/3 of other local funeral homes and your money is placed in a Trust Account with the State.
- We offer no fee, no interest payment plans and the cost is frozen forever.
- We own and operate our own state of the art crematory.
- Each Christmas season we collect over 1,600 toys through our Operation Toy Soldier, not-for-profit 501c3 and distribute them to both enlisted and veteran families.
- We know veteran benefits and connect you with your VA service officer.
- We offer a Grief support program to anyone in the community.
- Our Retire your Flag with Honor program drapes a retired flag over the veteran for cremation.
- A file will be created to keep your DD214 military discharge form, cremation authorization and vital statistics.

Officer Joel Quattlebaum
Officer Joel Quattlebaum has been with the City of Largo for the past six years, serving in several capacities including Patrol, Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP), CISM Team, as well as a High Liability Instructor. For the last four years, Officer Quattlebaum has served the community as Largo PD’s Senior Services Officer. The position provides a rewarding opportunity to effect real-life positive changes in resident’s quality of life and facilitate connecting struggling seniors with valuable community resources, as well as to protect vulnerable elderly residents from fraud and exploitation.
He has received several awards to include both the LPD Agency Meritorious Service Award and Distinguished Service Award, Largo Chamber of Commerce Inspire Award, and numerous others. Officer Quattlebaum additionally serves in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant wherein he supports and augments national security interests through mission readiness and Unit training.
